Hiring a horsebox from us couldn’t be easier but just in case you have any questions, we’ve put together a little list to help answer any queries you might have before booking.

How can I make a booking?

Can I cancel a booking?

Bookings are secured with a £50 non-refundable deposit.  Cancellations made less than 7 days before hire commences will incur the full hire charge.

Which documents do I need to provide?

You will need to provide two recent utility bills with your current address, your photocard driving licence and a onetime check code from DVLA.  Not sure what a DVLA Check Code is?  Check out our hire page – you’ll find all the details there.

What size horses/ponies can I carry?

We have transported horses up to 17.2 hh in our vans but remember the GWV is 3.5 tonnes.

Can I hire a horse box with a driver?

Yes, however this will incur extra costs depending on mileage and availability.

Is there a minimum or maximum length of hire?

There is a minimum of hire of 1 day – there are no upper limits.

Can I take the horsebox abroad?

Yes, with prior consent from us and our insurers.

Do you have different sized vans?

All our vans are limited to 3.5 tonnes GVW.  This means that anyone with a car licence can drive them.

Can you deliver the horsebox to my home address?

Yes.  Arrangements can be made for delivery and collection of the horsebox to your home address, however, this will incur additional costs.

Is there a mileage limit/penalty?

No – there isn’t a penalty or a mileage limit.  This means that we can be more flexible with our hire service.
